For years I have been threatening to write, shoot, direct, edit, and release a Zombie movie loosely based on the Max Brooks books “Zombie Survival Guide” and “World War Z”.  Well now I’m going to do it, but not alone.  I have decided to make it a collaborative project utilizing my talented friends all over the world.  I can’t say whether this has ever been done before, but the results should be pretty cool.  I have written a script that is fairly solid, but the process alone dictates that it will change with so many hands involved in the project.  The plan is this– the script will be used as a guideline as to where the story will begin and end.  I will send out assignments to the people who want to be involved with instructions as to how their scene(s) begin and end, but not how to get from one to the other.  When the scene(s) are complete they will be sent back to me to be included in the final film.  I will be shooting my portions in standard DV, which is great because it won’t matter what kind of camera everyone has and the editing tools that I use will make all the footage look the same.
